Credentialed Teachers lead all sessions.
We do not employ “Tutors”.
We use many elements, but the core program was created by one of the first fellows of Orton-Gillingham Institute. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multi-sensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling for beginners, those progressing, or those who need more time in foundational skills. Many school districts use this evidence-based and research-backed program, and over time, our former students have made multi-grade level jumps in reading, spelling, and writing skills using this curriculum. Maybe just as important, they all grew in their confidence in the classroom and social environments. This program works for everyone, and we've seen that it's possible to make meaningful progress without spending hours per day with less effective methods and parents having to pay tens of thousands of dollars.
Virtual Note: Despite the common misconception that kids are not able to focus on a screen during instruction, our program and style have proven to be just as effective as in-person.
Small Group Reading Instruction
Reading sessions are 30 minutes long, and we encourage at least two sessions per week. Increasing the consistency to three sessions per week will provide less progression between sessions and typically progress faster. We provide a multi-sensory, phonics-based, explicit, and systematic Orton Gillingham program. Students will work in groups with a maximum of three other students. It is our experience that groups can potentially accelerate learning through peer encouragement and interaction. Students will utilize and progress on reading, spelling, and writing skills as we work through the program.
**Assessments for present skill levels must be completed prior to joining a group.
Individual Reading Instruction

We provide a multi-sensory, phonics-based, explicit, and systematic Orton Gillingham program. Students will utilize and progress on reading, spelling, and writing skills as we work through the program.

Creative Writing Instruction
Unleash your child's imagination and strengthen their written communication skills with our dynamic and freeing process of writing instruction. Students learn and practice techniques to help them find their best writing processes. We work to remove barriers and create individual-specific strategies so they can focus on the content, and not the overwhelming procedures.
